“My skin has always been dry; perhaps drier than the average here in Greece. From an early age, I realized that it needed a kind of care that just wasn’t easy to find. I remember, especially when I was younger, people recommending products meant “for my age”. But those products never truly met my skin’s needs. My skin was thirsty, craving something deeper, more nourishing and more mindful. It didn’t take long for me to realize that skincare based on age simply wasn’t the right fit for me. As a chemist with a background in chemical synthesis and scientific research, I’ve always felt a deep curiosity for ingredients – and a love for creating things from the ground up. There’s something profoundly magical about formulating something that didn’t exist before! Over time, it became clear: I didn’t just need skincare. I needed solutions tailored to my skin – not my age, not a trend, but my actual needs. And that’s how KALYKA came to life.

KALYKA is a small, thoughtfully designed skincare range born in Athens. Each product is produced in small batches to ensure the high quality of raw materials and to minimize our environmental footprint.
The philosophy behind our choice of raw materials relies on their dual function: they act preventatively for younger skin while simultaneously correcting established concerns in more mature skin. In this way, we design formulas tailored to skin types rather than age categories.
Our goal is not just basic skincare, but an effective care strategy—delivering the best possible results with the fewest products.
Behind the brand is Kallia Vallianatou, MSc, PhD Chemist, with extensive research experience and specialization in synthetic chemistry.
