BEHIND THE FORMULA
The 5 Active Ingredients of HELIOS serum:
1. Silver Birch Bark Extract: Birch bark contains the triterpene betulin. Betulin is the reason behind the plant’s resilience to harsh weather conditions.
Action: Thanks to its natural defensive properties, birch bark extract strengthens the proteins of the epidermal barrier (the “bricks”), while also stimulating the production of more water-retaining amino acids (NMF) within the stratum corneum. The result is an immediate sensation of hydrated skin.
2. Hydrogenated Lecithin: Mainly composed of hydrogenated phosphatidylcholine, a type of phospholipid that mimics the skin’s outer layer.
Action: It strengthens and protects the lipids of the skin barrier. At the same time, its water-retaining capacity helps replenish the skin’s naturally limited amount of moisture-retaining amino acids (NMF). The result is long-term hydration and improved skin elasticity.
3. Prickly Pear Seed Oil: One of the most premium cosmetic oils. This oil is extracted from the seeds of the prickly pear fruit and contains a high percentage of linoleic acid and a smaller percentage of oleic acid.
Action: The ratio of these two fatty acids is ideal for offering strong protection to the skin barrier, enhancing repair mechanisms, and significantly reducing the likelihood of irritation. The result is smooth and radiant skin.
